Finally did it...

After ten years, I have finally been talked into learning to make my MIL's gumbo recipe. I held out as long as I could. I can't stand okra! 

But once I scooped the okra and sausage out (picky Nikki lives on!!!), it wasn't so bad. I may or may not have gone back for seconds.  Cajun boy and Cajun boy jr (Nathanael) were quite pleased. The other four of us had okra piles on our bread plates.
